Welcome to the Takis-on-Line Euro 2000 site. The Euro 2000 tournament may have passed into history as the most exciting one so far and the record books will show that France has won it, but you can still relive the best moments of this exciting event. Here you will find a wealth of information about the final phase of the tournament such as match reports of every game, venue, referee, team and player details including more than 400 photographs and video clips (which are no longer available due to copyright infringement - see below however) of all the tournament goals. All the results of the qualifying competition are also available. You can also find lots of links to Euro 2000 sites.

As I said above I had to remove the links to the video clips because of copyright restrictions. However, I still have the clips and if any of you would like to download and watch them again, please drop me a line and I will tell you how to do that.
The match report, other statistics and the video clips (no longer available due to copyright infringement) of all the goals from the final, which took place on 2 July 2000 are now available.

Euro 2000 Polls

The competition has now ended and it was a great tournament. History will show that France won it but they were not one of the teams with the best attack and defence as you can see below (although they were close second in the best attack category. This is good for the sport as it goes to show that a better attack wins games). Check out the results of the two polls I organised and see whether your vote was one of the winning ones.

Which team, do you think, will have the most prolific attack in Euro 2000?

The competition has now ended. The most prolific attack was that of Netherlands with 13 goals in 5 games (2.6 per game). Second were France with also 13 goals but in 6 games (2.2 per game).

Which team, do you think, will have the meanest defence in Euro 2000?

The competition has now ended. The meanest defence was that of Norway with just one goal in 3 games (0.3 per game). Second were Netherlands 3 goals in 5 games (0.6 per game).
