World champions and favourites France kept on their winning path at Euro 2000 on Friday when they beat the Czech Republic 2-1 with goals from Thierry Henry and Youri Djorkaeff. Henry scored in the seventh minute when he seized on a disastrous back pass by Petr Gabriel but Karel Poborsky equalised with a controversial penalty in the 35th after Didier Deschamps pushed Pavel Nedved in the back, apparently outside the box. Djorkaeff secured victory on the hour when he drove home a neat pass from Henry. France, who lead Group D with six points, will qualify for the quarter-finals before their final match unless Denmark succeed in beating the Netherlands later in Rotterdam in Friday's other Group D game. The Czechs, who have no points, are practically eliminated.

- 1.2 MB - 2.3 MB - 2.4 MB Poborsky (35', pen.) (1-1). He scored from the penalty spot with a powerful shot in the middle of the goal.	- 1.7 MB - 3.6 MB - 3.7 MB Djorkaeff (60') (1-2). Henry took the ball into the penalty area and laid it back for Djorkaeff to finish with a low shot.
