The Netherlands came to life in the second half, crushing Denmark 3-0 and securing themselves a place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2000. Three second half goals from Patrick Kluivert in the 57th minute, Ronald de Boer in the 66th and Boudewijn Zenden in the 77th gave the Dutch side an emphatic victory though the Danes had more than held their own in the first half. The result also meant that France, 2-1 winners over the Czech Republic earlier in Bruges, are also guaranteed a place in the last eight with one match still to play. Denmark, whose defender Michael Schjonberg missed a penalty 10 minutes from time, are eliminated before their final Group D match, as are the Czechs.

- 1.1 MB - 2.2 MB - 2.5 MB Penalty awarded to Denmark on 80'. Following a defensicve error by Konterman and after van der Sar fouled Sand.	- 1.6 MB - 3.1 MB - 3.2 MB Kluivert (57') (0-1). Bergkamp fired a shot at Schmeichel who could only push the ball out into the path of Kluivert who stabbed it home left-footed from 16 yards.
- 0.7 MB - 1.5 MB - 1.4 MB Penalty missed by Schjonberg. He shot the ball wide.	- 1.6 MB - 3.2 MB - 3.3 MB R. de Boer (66') (0-2). A fine cross from the left by Zenden found Ronald de Boer unmarked at the far side of the goal and he stabbed the ball home from close range.
.	- 1.7 MB - 3.3 MB - 3.4 MB Zenden (77') (0-3). Reiziger broke down the right and crossed to the unmarked Zenden who scored from ten yards out.
