Italy, fielding eight reserves in their final Group B match at Euro 2000, beat Sweden 2-1 with a late goal from Alessandro Del Piero to finish with a 100 percent record. The Italians scored first through a Luigi Di Biagio header in the 39th minute but Sweden fought back in the second half and levelled with an individual goal from Henrik Larsson in the 77th. Del Piero netted a brilliant winner two minutes from time. Italy were already assured of finishing top of the group before the match. Sweden finished bottom with just one point. The Italians will play the runners-up of group A - either England, Romania or Germany - in the quarter-finals.
