| Norway went out of Euro 2000 after a 0-0 draw with Slovenia in a match lacking in incidents. The Norwegians finished third in Group C though as the match ended they looked certain to qualify. Norway went out because Spain, needing to win and trailing 3-2 to Yugoslavia in Bruges, scored two goals in stoppage time to go through as group winners. Yugoslavia finished second. Norway scored just one goal in their three games, ending on four points, two behind Spain and one behind Yugoslavia. Slovenia were eliminated with two points from the group after a dull match in which neither team had a shot on goal for almost half an hour of the first half. |
